Tafadzwa Nigel Tom

Raised in Highfields, Harare, Zimbabwe, Tom always knew he had a passion and talent in the art world. At a tender age he won a first prize in Harare (Provincial Level) in 2011. His journey had already begun. He enrolled to National Gallery School of Visual Arts and Designs in 2017 and he did a visual artist program for two years and he managed to won First Prize Awards on each year. In 2017 he attended John Kotze Realism Art Workshop. In 2018 he attended Dzimbanhete Art Interaction (DAI) printmaking workshop under the supervision of Chikonzero Chazunguza. In 2019 he was a residency artist at National Gallery of Zimbabwe for a year, also in the same year he won best painting (Bizarre) in the New Signatures Exhibition. In 2020 he was featured in Switzerland magazine, Juliet 198-giu/set 2020 on page 58-59. In 2023 he won first prize in the Morgan & Co “Signs of the times” art exhibition. He had exhibited at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe for some few years, Jeleni & Phindi Rooftop Gallery, Randburg, South Africa in 2024, and other galleries. In 2025 Nhaka Delta Gallery awarded him for winning Most Promising Male Young Artist Award at their 50th Anniversary Show. Currently he is still striving and working hard towards being, successful.
